ATMA 2019: Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Registration, Syllabus

ATMA – AIMS Test for Management Admissions is a national level computer-based management entrance examination. Exam conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). ATMA scores are used for admission in various management programmes.

 

The exam is conducted multiple throughout the year. The exam will be held between 2 pm and 5 pm.

ATMA aims to assess a candidate’s verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, analyzing and synthesizing ability. It is a three-hour exam. The test consists of multiple-choice objective-type questions.

 

Candidates who want to apply for the test need to be graduates (in any discipline). Final year graduation students can also apply for the exam.

 

“The scores of ATMA test are valid for Maharashtra institutional level MBA seats also, in addition to All-India level seats,” informs the official website.

ATMA 2019 Registration / Application Process

·         The candidates can fill the application form of ATMA 2019 through online or offline process.

·         For online registration, the aspirants have to register themselves through the website.

·         Provide your details like Full name, Correct Email ID, Mobile Number and Date of Birth in the On-line Fee Payment form.

·         ATMA 2019 Registration fee can be paid through debit card/credit card (payment gateway), net banking & bank transfer. The fee is non-refundable.

·         Close of ATMA Payment (through gateway) on 31st Jan 2019 (Tentative).

·         Registration process will be closed on 3rd week of February 2019.

·         Once the candidate has been successfully registered, the login credentials that include user name and password have been sent to the candidate’s email Id.

·         Now, activate your account and then proceed towards the filling of application form.

·         To avail the offline application form of ATMA 2019, visit the prescribed centers and purchase the form against the application fee of Rs 1298/-.

Note: Keep the 2 copies of filled-in application form for future references.

 

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criterion for AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is mentioned below:

·         The aspirants must have completed graduation from a recognized University with at least 50% marks.

·         The candidates who are in final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.

·         The minimum age criteria required for applying is 21 years.

 

 

ATMA Exam Pattern

·         The question paper contains 180 questions breakup in the six sections.

·         The total time allotted for the exam is 3 hours.

·         The paper based test may be attempted serial-wise but for online test there is no such requirement.

·         The question paper type of the exam will be MCQ having four alternatives.

 

 

The ATMA exam pattern is discussed below in the table format:

There are three sections viz. Analytical Reasoning Skills, Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills, and each section is repeated twice. The time alloted to each section is 30 minutes.

 

Marking System

Each correct answer contains one mark. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be subtracted. No marks will be deducted for the question left un-attempted.

ATMA Syllabus

ATMA 2019 exam will consist of three main topics, divided into six sections. Candidates will have to attempt 180 questions in 180 minutes. Here’s a detailed look at the syllabus:

 

Sections of ATMA exam paper

·         Analytical Reasoning Skills: This section of the paper analyses the logical thinking capacity of candidates. Aspirants must make sure that they strengthen their capability of analyzing situations, only then will they be able to select the correct answer. Having the correct approach and right frame of mind will help a candidate extensively in finding the answer to the questions.

·         Quantitative Skills: In order to excel in this section, candidates will have to practice on a regular basis. Questions related to probability, percentages, time and work, permutation and combination, coordinate geometry, average, profit and loss, mensuration, ratio and proportion variations, interest, geometry, inequalities, time speed and distance, progression, logarithm, set theory, quadratic equation, and functions are frequently asked in ATMA exam.

·         Verbal skills: This is a section which evaluates the English skills of a candidate. Candidates an expect questions based on sentence completion, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and sentence correction, to name but a few.

Admit Card

All the registered candidates can download their ATMA admit card from the official website of AIMS by providing login credentials. Paste your photograph on the downloaded admit card and also bring one identity proof on the examination day along with admit card.
